The Studio

I have been trying to clean up the studio so that I can actually see what I have! It is trully amazing what I have and yet, I feel the need for more. However (and that is a huge However), what with the economy (blah, blah, blah...is anyone else REALLY tired of talking about that), I have to cut back and try to use what I have. In fact, that idea is one of my new years resolutions for 2010. When I need or want something, I try to figure out if it is something I can make, borrow, or rig rather than buy. I will have some upcoming posts to show some of the projects already completed this year - nothing spectacular but it feels good to use some old fashioned problem solving skills and come up with something useful and not too bad to look at.

One of the things I have been wanting is a set of bins to go in my shelf seen in this picture. It just felt jumbled and disorganized. Sometimes just a little rearranging can go a long way. I also added some bins that were in other parts of the house and labeled all of them with old tags. It feels totally new to me. Ahhh...

Next project - My 14 month old son started preschool (okay, really it is just daycare but it sounds so much nicer when they call it preschool). Of course I have to take his sippy cup every day and they want us to buy some of those rubber-bandy type things with the child's name on them. They are not very expensive, maybe $20 or so but it just seems like something I could solve on my own...hmmm.
